PHIXER for Linux DAW users: VST3 + CLAP, then a mono fold check
PHIXER is a free stereo phase-repair plugin from Riverflux Audio. On Linux it ships VST3 and CLAP (x64). AU is macOS-only. If your mix sounds huge in headphones and thin on a phone or livestream, start with polarity and a monitor/master mono fold. Frequency-aware rotation is only for leftover L/R fights on stereo beds.

Download PHIXER free on Gumroad Linux install paths
PHIXER is a free stereo phase-repair effect. Frequency-aware rotation (Amount / From / To) so mono fold keeps low end without flattening stereo. Not a polarity flip or time-aligner. Win / Mac / Linux. VST3 + CLAP on Linux. Also AU + VST3 + CLAP on macOS; VST3 + CLAP on Windows.
Linux install in one minute
- VST3 → copy to
~/.vst3/or/usr/lib/vst3/ - CLAP → copy to
~/.clap/or/usr/lib/clap/ - Point the DAW plugin path at that folder, then rescan. Full steps: install guide.
- Official zip: riverfluxaudio.gumroad.com/l/phixer (no charge; optional tip).
Linux-friendly DAW guides
Ardour
Monitor/master fold, polarity, Linux VST3 / LV2 / CLAP scan hygiene, then residual spectral repair. Distinct Linux-native host path.
Harrison Mixbus
Console / mixer fold and polarity on the Linux Mixbus path. Use the guide before you reach for a widener.
Tracktion Waveform
Mixer fold, polarity, and plugin scan on Waveform (Linux-capable). Prove the bed in mono, then decide if spectral repair is needed.
What to do before PHIXER
- Engage a monitor or master mono fold. Do not trust headphones alone.
- Flip polarity on one path of a dual DI+mic, dual-cab, or parallel bus if body returns immediately.
- Small delay-align of a secondary path. Do not use Haas delays as "width" before the fold check.
- Bypass stereo wideners during the check. If mono is fine without them, the widener is the problem.
- Only then load PHIXER (VST3 or CLAP) on a stereo bed that must stay stereo and still hollows a band.

Paste-ready blurb
PHIXER is a free stereo phase-repair plugin from Riverflux Audio for Win, Mac, and Linux (VST3, CLAP; AU on Mac). It finds destructive L/R phase by frequency and gently rotates problem bands so bass survives mono fold-down without killing width. Amount / From / To plus visual feedback. Not a polarity button and not a delay aligner.
